Call for a local leader to help drive regional development

RDA is a national network of committees made up of local people volunteering their time and energy to develop regional solutions to regional issues. RDA Orana’s key economic development priorities include workforce development, infrastructure planning, business investment, sustainability and diversification of industry and whole-of-government planning.

Community members with commitment, strong leadership skills and a vision for their local region are encouraged to submit Expressions of Interest by Friday 26 August 2016.

“RDA Orana works closely with a number of government and industry stakeholders to improve economic development in the Orana region, which encompasses 25 per cent of NSW,” said John Walkom, Chair of RDA Orana.

“We need a Deputy Chair who can build networks within the business community, all levels of industry, and all levels of government. This will facilitate wide consultation and development of proactive solutions towards economic development of the Orana region,” said John.

“If this sounds like your area of expertise, I would strongly encourage you to submit an Expression of Interest and make a difference to local regions.”
