Melbourne and Brisbane flights return to the region

Orana passengers will once again be able to fly to Melbourne and Brisbane, thanks to confirmation that regional airline Fly Corporate will begin serving the area.
RDA Orana Director of Regional Development Megan Dixon praised Dubbo Regional Council for its commitment to reinstating the service for the benefit of residents in the region.

“This is very exciting news,” she said. “After Jetgo went into voluntary administration, there was a definite gap in services in terms of air travel to and from Dubbo.

“Dubbo City Regional Airport is a transport hub for this entire region, providing 200 flights per week across the Eastern Seaboard. To see flights into Brisbane and Melbourne returned is very promising for holidaymakers and business travellers, as well as those who need to attend medical appointments in one of the capital cities.”

“This announcement will return Dubbo to its former status of travel to seven destinations across four airlines.”

Fly Corporate CEO Andrew Major was pleased to announce the addition of Dubbo to the company’s regional flight network, saying that the service will not only allow direct travel to Melbourne and Brisbane for domestic flights, but also to give travellers an alternative to Sydney for other domestic or international destinations.

Fly Corporate, owned by Corporate Air, is an Australian company which has been running for more than 40 years, operating chartered and commercial flights.

Dubbo-based flights will begin on August 7 for those travelling to Brisbane, while Melbourne will be added as a destination on September 28.
