Sydney residents encouraged to relocate and “love the life we live” in the Orana region

On the weekend, an Orana economic development group promoted the Orana region at the Regional Living Expo in Sydney. This formed part of the ongoing campaign and new brand for the region, Love the Life We Live, which aims to encourage young skilled workers to relocate from metropolitan areas to the Orana region, by promoting the benefits of living and working through a new website and social media.

The stakeholder group comprises representatives from 10 Orana councils: Bourke, Cobar, Coonamble, Gilgandra, Mid-Western (Mudgee region), Walgett, Warren, Warrumbungle, and Western Plains (Wellington region) and Regional Development Australia (RDA) Orana. Members have worked together to develop a new website, Love the Life We Live Facebook page, @oranalife Twitter and lovethelifewelive.orana Instagram profile. The website content includes information promoting the relaxed lifestyle, affordable housing, job opportunities, services, attractions and events that Orana people enjoy. People can also see economic data, view businesses and industrial land for sale, keep up-to-date through a news and events blog and request further information from members of the group through the website.

“Love the Life We Live is a comprehensive resource where people can learn about all the benefits of living and working in the Orana region through one easily accessible platform,” said Robyn Lamont, Acting EO of RDA Orana.

“We encourage all Orana residents to share the website and social media details with their friends and family who may be considering a move to the Orana region.”
