Riding the Lightwave of Technology

Riding the Lightwave of Technology brings together scientists, researchers, community stakeholders, policymakers and industry leaders to discuss the many aspects and impacts of light pollution and artificial light.
The combination of expanding urban growth and cheap energy efficient lighting is resulting in artificial light at night becoming one of the fastest growing, yet most poorly understood or documented, forms of pollution in the world.

During the three day conference at Siding Spring Observatory, Coonabarabran, participants will look beyond the obstacles and explore pathways to align technology, industry and policy towards sustainable advancements in lighting for improvement of built and natural environments. Speakers will include Dr Kellie Pendoley, Wayne Wescott, Adam Carey, Dr Fred Watson, Dr Christopher Kyba and Prof Abraham Haim.
