Regional Plan

The Orana Regional Plan 2013 - 2016 defines the key priorities that have been identified to drive economic growth in the region. It is an important document, acting as a roadmap to guide the work of Regional Development Australia Orana. It is used by all levels of government, community, business and industry to complement their planning processes.

The Orana Regional Plan 2013-16 was developed in 2013, after months of extensive community and local government consultations across the whole Orana region. The key priorities outlined in the plan are:

  • Economic diversification & sustainability
  • Workforce planning & development
  • Business investment
  • Infrastructure
  • Whole-of-government planning

Please note: The plan was updated September 2015 to reflect changes to the Committee, as well as to provide more up-to-date information such as statistics and current RDA Orana initiatives. A new Orana Regional Plan will be developed mid-2016.
