Introduction to Exports

Are you interested in exporting, but don’t know where to start?

Join Senior Export Advisor Brent Bannister for a one hour workshop (at your desk) while he introduces businesses to the fundamentals of exporting and the opportunities and challenges involved in exporting their products and services to the world. The workshop will outline what businesses need to consider when developing an export plan and what support is available to assist them.

Participants will also have an opportunity to ask Brent questions as we go.

About our presenter:

Brent Bannister is the local point of access for State delivered export advice and also Austrade’s TradeStart network information. He is also responsible for facilitating access to the Export Marketing Development Grant (EMDG) offered by Austrade, and also to financial support services offered by Export Finance Australia (EFA / previously EFIC). Brent initiates, promotes, manages and implements export programs and skills capacity development, including conducting Export Capability Building workshops. He has a degree in Rural Science from the University of New England and has worked in the agriculture sector for most of his career. However, Brent also has had significant experience in the industrial, and mining, water treatment sectors. In recent years he has owned and operated a cherry growing and exporting business, and consulted to others entering into this industry. Brent is committed to regional Australia and to assisting businesses to achieve their export goals.
