Miranda Riley was born and raised in Wellington and lived in Cobar before moving to Dubbo, making her a true local of the Orana region. Her experience spans the finance and health sectors where she worked in private industry which included managerial experience before moving to a role in Local Government. As a project officer with Cobar Shire Council, Miranda was really able to make her mark working in community development, tourism, marketing and event management as well as undertaking creative projects alongside the curator of the Great Cobar Heritage Centre.
Miranda was also a previous member of Cobar Economic Taskforce and Vice President/ Secretary of Cobar Business Association.
Initially working as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Regional Development, Miranda is now the Workforce Development Manager with RDA Orana where she lends her efficiency and organisational skills to business migration, event management and grant writing. In her spare time, she enjoys socialising and reading crime fiction and her love affair with fine foods has led to sampling delicious goodies from around the region.
