Opportunities galore for emerging businesses

Creating opportunities for new jobs and providing incentives for emerging businesses is a positive sign for NSW, Regional Development Australia (RDA)
Orana executive officer Megan Dixon.

Speaking about the State Government agency, Jobs for NSW, Mrs Dixon said there was support available, particularly in a financial sense.

“This is good for NSW - for people thinking of a starting a business or businesses looking for financial support to grow.”

“With this support, the business landscape in NSW has the potential to capture more of the lucrative export market, transform regional communities
and promote entrepreneurship across the board.”

Established in 2015, Jobs for NSW is offering $190M over four years to support jobs growth in NSW with more than 30 per cent of the fund being invested
in the growth of regional businesses.

A particular area of focus is financial support for start-ups and emerging businesses outside the metropolitan radius.

“A sizeable portion of the Jobs for NSW Fund is being used to help regional and rural areas expand and improve their competitive advantage and facilitate
job creation.”
