RDA ORANA WELCOMES NEW GM TO DESTINATION COUNTRY AND OUTBACK NSW

RDA Orana Director of Regional Development Megan Dixon has welcomed the appointment of Lucy White as the new General Manager of the Destination Country and Outback NSW Network (DCON).

“Lucy has managed and guided tourism operations in both Bathurst and Mudgee and has some 22 years of industry experience gained from regional organisations in the Central West.”

For the past two years, Lucy has been the Bathurst Regional Council’s Destination Manager and is currently a board member of the peak tourism industry body, Australian Regional Tourism (ART).

“I have no doubt that with Lucy’s strong leadership and tourism skillset, the Destination Country and Tourism Network will flourish,” Mrs Dixon said.

“I am looking forward to working with her to develop product in the region.”

Ms White will commence her new role in the Dubbo office of DCON, which is hosted by RDA Orana, with the support of Dubbo Regional Council.

“We have an excellent working relationship with the DCON team and our offices really complement each other.

“Sharing a space is mutually beneficial for both organisations.”

The DCON network covers 61.2 per cent of the state, from Tenterfield in the north to Cowra in the south, and from Lithgow out to Broken Hill. RDA Orana covers the 12 Local Government areas of Bogan, Bourke, Brewarrina, Cobar, Coonamble, Dubbo, Gilgandra, Narromine, Mid-Western, Warren, Warrumbungle and Walgett.
