2018/ 2019 Annual Report
In October 2019 the RDA Orana team produced the 2018/2019 Annual Report including a message from the Chairman, Director of Regional Development, 18/19 achievements and goals for 19/20.
Remote Area Tax Concessions and Payments Submission
In October 2019 the RDA Orana team made a submission to the Productivity Commission Inquiry into the effectiveness of the current Remote Area Tax Concessions and Payments. We applaud moves to ensure this system provides successful outcomes for communities and industry, particularly in inland regional and rural NSW.
Annual Business Plan
In June 2019 the RDA Orana team produced the 2019/2020 Business Plan including 18/19 achievements and the key functions for the organisation until June 2020.
Regional, Rural and Remote (RRR) Education Strategy Review
In March 2019 the RDA Orana team made a submission to improve tertiary education participation and outcomes for students from RRR areas.

With a $7.9 billion project pipeline in the Orana region over the next 5 years, in 2018 RDA Orana undertook extensive community consultation and industry research to better understand the Orana region skills shortage and made recommendations to tackle this issue.

2018 DAMA Submission
In December 2018 RDA Orana made a submission to the Commonweath Government, to create a Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) for the Orana region. A summary of the submission can be found HERE
The Orana DAMA agreement was granted in April 2019, RDA Orana are now in the processes of implementing the Agreement, it is expected that applications will open in the new financial year, sign up to our DAMA mail list HERE to receive updates.
